Alison Dace began her successful career within the hair industry over 20 years ago. Her intense passion for all things hair actually started long before then. Her Grandmother owned salons in and around Manchester for many years, so hair has always been a major part of her life.

Alison’s career has also been heavily influenced by L’Oreal. She has achieved many awards and qualifications including the prestigious L’Oreal Colour specialist degree and has competed in many high profile competitions including the L'Oreal Colour Trophy and the British Hairdressing Awards. She has been included on many judging panels for L’Oreal and was invited to present alongside other world class hairdressers from all over the globe at the L’Oreal 100th Birthday Celebration in Paris. Alison was also selected to join the H3 L’Oreal International Artistic Team, the first ever woman to be given that honour.

Her most recent role was as Creative Director for a nationwide brand, also heading up and managing the Artistic Team. This saw Alison travelling all over the world to countries including India, Italy, France, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Kuwait, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Russia, and many others, clocking up over 150 visits to top salons and events providing advanced training and delivering motivational speeches at exclusive conferences.

From magazine shoots to runway fashion shows, through to training and exhibitions, Alison is a crusader for creativity and has previously been instrumental in creating national hair collections and helping with the development of up and coming talent.

When Alison wasn’t working abroad or assisting a multitude of artists, she’s been working in London’s West End training hair stylists and being creative.

Alison’s latest and most passionate venture to-date sees her reacquainted with the equally talented Clare Jones at Blo Bar. Alison consistently strives to ensure that her creativity continues to elevate, applying all of her past experience within this new venture to create outstanding hairdressing.
